Replacement theology first began to infect and debilitate the church in the second century, eventually providing the theological justification for centuries of antisemitism. It ultimately played a crucial role in the Holocaust.
Today, replacement theology (also known as supersessionism) is pervasive and undergirds the new “Christian” anti-Zionism. In an unholy alliance with the secular anti-Israel media, sectors of the “Christian” anti-Zionist lobby have quietly rebranded and repackaged the old antisemitism.
Here in New Zealand we witness supposedly Christian groups such as Tear Fund, World Vision and Laidlaw College promoting a clergyman who has openly associated with terrorists and Holocaust deniers and who has been repeatedly accused of antisemitism. In addition we see the promotion of an anti-Israel propaganda film described by the august Simon Wiesenthal Center as containing “monstrous distortions” and as “making a strong emotional argument built on lies”.
Israel.co.nz exists to affirm biblical Zionism and to provide a biblical and factual response to “Christian” anti-Zionism, replacement theology and media bias.
